Anything Goes!

Man, this has been a rough week! It's a good thing it was only a four day workweek, because I'm not sure I would've survived a fifth day. :) Fortunately for me, both Totally Papercrafts and Sister Act Card Challenge were having "anything goes" challenges (SACC is always anything goes) - very easy to play along even with a crazy, hectic week.

SACC is sponsored this week by the wonderful Wings and Willows. I chose this adorable image, Fox Pup, for my card.

Supplies: Fox Pup (Wings and Willows), Gathering 6X6 pad (Authentique),
Labels One die (Nestabilities), butterflies punch (Martha Stewart), Burnt Umber ink (Palette),
Copics, Fiskars border punch., and antique brass brads.

I just love this Authentique paper! I've had it for a long time. (I've been sort of hoarding it). I'm so glad I finally used it - it was perfect for the fox's fur color. And, coincidentally, the current Anything Goes challenge on Simon Says Stamp is featuring Authentique products! So far this is the only Authentique paper I own, but I can see myself buying more. My layout is based last week's sketch from the Flutterby Wednesday challenge.

I'm also entering my card into this month's "Anything Goes with Earthtones" challenge on the Oozak blog.

So, with two easy-peasy Anything Goes challenges, be sure to visit both the Totally Papercrafts and Sister Act Card Challenge for details on how to play along. You could win a great prize from SACC's sponsor, Wings and Willows or from one of Totally Papercrafts' TWO sponsors, J&C Creations and Doodle Dragon Studios. While you're there, check out the other DT members' cards and leave them a little love. I know they would appreciate some kind comments!

Not a Creature Was Stirring...

... not even Santa!  I know how poor Santa feels these days. The end of the school year is always like this! I work at a high school and I have kids in school, so I get hit on both ends. Yawn! At least school is over on Friday... just in time for summer school preparations to start Tuesday, the day after Labor Day. Ugh!

Well, the reason I am choosing to make a Christmas card just when summer is finally here is that the very talented Rick St Denis is our sponsor this week at Sister Act Card Challenge and I just couldn't resist working with this image, Santa Nap Time:

Be sure to stop by the Sister Act Card Challenge blog for your chance to play along with this week's (always) anything goes challenge.

DT Call

Have you ever thought about joining a design team? Well, the Totally Papercrafts girls are looking for a few good papercrafters to join our crew. Check out the DT call here:  Totally Papercrafts DT Call.

Super Dan!

Happy Wednesday! Boy, am I ever glad it is hump day! This has been a l-o-n-g week. Here to the rescue, though is Super Dad Alf, a super digistamp from DigiStamp Boutique!

I actually made this card for one of my bosses, whose name is Dan so the SD (Super Dad) emblazoned on his chest worked out well. I'm just glad his name wasn't Mike or John! ;-)

Have a great day!

What a Diva!

File this one under "better late than never"...  Welcome to my post for this week's Totally Papercrafts Challenge. (If you're looking for my Sister Act Carc Challenge post, please keep scrolling.) This week's TPC challenge is to use a diva. Luckily, this week we are sponsored by the fab Kenny K who has tons of fabulous digital diva images! For my card I picked one of my favorite divas, Queens Cutie. (Being a transplanted Jersey girl with family ties to Queens, NY, this image has sentimental ties for me.)

Supplies: Queens Cutie (Kenny K), Urban Prairie paper pad (Basic Grey),
sentiment (DigiStamp Boutique), Dew Drops, scallop border punch (Fiskars),
ribbon (Michaels), black cs and Copic markers.

Like any good diva she deserves a little extra attention, so I'm also entering my card into the following challenges:
Pile It On Challenges - For A Teen
Loves Rubber Stamps - May Flowers (flowers on my dp)
By the Cute and Girly - Flowers
Mad for Markers - One for the girls
One Crazy Stamper - May Flowers (flowers on my dp)
CMC Copic Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Totally Papercrafts blog and leave some love for the rest of the DT. Then join us for a chance to win some awesome digis from Kenny K!

Spring Graduates

May and June are the months for graduations! I was so glad that Sally-Ann released a set of graduation themed images and paper over at DigiStamp Boutique. I decided to use the hat image and the graduation digi paper to make my card for this week's anything goes challenge on Sister Act Card Challenge:

I used purple and gold because those are the school colors of our high school. I love this digi paper! It made the card super quick to make!

Be sure to join us at Sister Act Card Challenge this week. You could win a $5 gift certificate from our sponsor, Digital Designs by Louby Lou.

Designed to Color

I'm back with my big announcement... I am now part of the Rainbow Crew on the Designed To Color Challenge Team! If you're not familiar with Designed to Color, it was home to great tutorials, an online magazine, a monthly challenge, etc. DTC has recently undergone some changes, dropping the online magazine and adding a second challenge per month (e.g., there are now bimonthly challenges). The new challenge called for a second challenge team and voila! here I am. :)

Goldilocks and the 3 Bears

This week's Tiddly Inks challenge was an unusual one - Inspiration from a Movie or Book. This cute little Wryn image made me think of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. (Only in this version, things work out a lot happier for "Goldi" and her friends.)

Supplies: Wryn Thank You Beary Much (Tiddly Inks), ivory cs (DCWV),
kraft cs (TAC), Copics, dp from stash, ivory vintage seam binding (Ribbon Carousel),
button, Lime Twist pink bakers' twine (MME) and pop-dots.

The card came together pretty quickly using this fun sketch from Friday Sketch Challenge:

I'm also entering my card into this week's Anything Goes challenge at the CMC Copic Challenge blog.

I'll be back later this week with a big announcement. Stay tuned!

Sweet Little Abi

I'm popping in with a quick and cute Abi card. I'm still trying to build up those birthday card reserves! This one, however, is slated to my friend Karyn whose favorite colors are peach and green. This is more of a blush pink, but close enough that I think she'll really like it. :)

Supplies: Abi (DSB), Lost & Found Market Street 6X6 pad (MME), ivory vintage seam binding (Ribbon Carousel), pearls (Recollections), sewing machine, kraft and ivory cs and Copics.

For my layout, I used last week's sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I'm entering my cards into the following challenges:
Clear It Out Challenge - anything goes + 2 papers from stash
Craft Door Magazine - anything goes
Try It Out Tuesday - Feminine and Fancy

I'll see you on Friday with a new card for the always anything goes Sister Act Card Challenge!

Yumi & Fumi Week #4

Yumi and Fumi Handmade has been having a ton of fun challenges and giveaways lately! This is my entry into the current giveaway - an anything goes challenge. I'm always reading something, so I thought a bookmark would be a fun and useful project.

Supplies: Fumi with messenger bag (Y&FH), Check Him Out dp (MME),
ribbon (Michaels), flower (Prima), pearl (Michaels), Copics, sewing machine.

This is my first project with my Fumi stamp. I just love her little topknots in her hair!

Totally Papercrafts - Don't Be a Square

Note: This is my second post of the morning. Please scroll down below to see the Sister Act Card Challenge.

Eek! This week's Totally Papercrafts challenge was a real challenge for me - Don't be a Square. One of our sponsors this week is Doodle Pantry. I chose this adorable bunny stamp to work with and, luckily, it lent itself to a circle card. (The bunny comes as a set with both hay and grass underneath the bunny. I chose the hay one and extended the hay with some Copics and a black gel pen so that it filled the entire bottom half of the circle.)

Supplies: Bunny Wabbit (Doodle Pantry), heart dp (Basic Grey), ribbon (Ribbon Carousel), Copics, cs from stash.

Hop on over to the Totally Papercrafts blog to see what the other ladies have been up to and to join in to win a prize from one of our TWO great sponsors - Doodle Pantry and Stamp and Create.

Sister Act Card Challenge - #5

Welcome to another "anything goes" challenge at Sister Act Card Challenge. This week's sponsor is Paper Nest Dolls. I chose this cute little girl, Ellie, for this week's card:

Supplies: Sweet Heart Ellie (Paper Nest Dolls), sentiment (DigiStamp Boutique),
Lime Twist 6X6 paper pad (MME), green polka dot paper from Penny Lane Collection (MME),
rhinestones (Paper Studio), Copics, cs from stash.

Check out the other cute cards from the rest of the SACC design team. Be sure to join us for the chance to win some adorable digis from our sponsor, Paper Nest Dolls!
