SSW - Sponsored by Inktegrity

This week's sketch is sponsored by Joni of Inktegrity.

I used this adorable "Bunny Gift" image for my card:

What do you think of the lacy oval mat? This was done using a straight edge border punch and this punch technique I shared with you in a recent Fab Friday.

Stop by the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog to check out the rest of the design team's cards and then play along with us for the chance to win a great prize! See the Sweet Sketch Wedesday blog for details!

This week's Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge is being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps. Here's the sketch:

Update: Here's my card, better late than never...

Hopefully that was worth the wait. :) I just love this little guy from Bugaboo! He was a lot of fun to color in. The dp is from a paper pack I purchased at the dollar spot at Target several years ago. I don't often use any of this particular pattern but it worked perfectly with the image.

I Can't Believe It's Wednesday!

Ohmigosh.... First, February is a weirdly short month. Then I was sick for over a week. Then, we turned back the clocks this past weekend. I have been soooo confused! I was in a bit of a panic driving home tonight when I thought it was Wednesday and I'd forgotten to post. Whew, I'm glad I didn't miss this chance to share this week's awesome Sweet Sketch Wednesday with you!

I am just LOVING these cute spring images from our sponsor, Sally-Ann of DigiStamp Boutique. Be sure to play along with this week's sketch for your chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the shop.

And don't forget that we are hosting a fun blog hop along with Sally-Ann later this week! I know there will be some awesome projects and I bet there will be a prize or two, as well...

Playing with Cats

Today is the last day to enter the latest contest over at the Cats' Pajamas blog, Dancing in Pajamas. I didn't get as many cards done as I would've liked but I did manage 2 more cards over the weekend:

This card is for the inspiration challenge. I used the red & orange colors and the polka dots in the inspiration piece in designing my card.

This card is for the color challenge, which was to use kraft, pumpkin, yellow and celery. I used a sketch from the spring TAC magalog for my layout.

A Punchy Fab Friday

While reading the 7KidsCollegeFund blog, I found a link to this awesome tutorial:
Bordering circles and ovals with your border punches

You can find another sample on the 7KidsCollegeFund blog:
7Kids card (it's the pink Tilda card - you have to scroll down past a few others)

I started playing around with the technique myself tonight. You do really have to cut almost all the way through to make the strip bendable.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

I've been checking out my old sketch blog favorites and ran across this great sketch at the Sketch Saturday blog. I've been dying to use this new stamp set (Wonder and Joy) from TAC and came up with this:

Supplies: Wonder and Joy (TAC), Penny Lane dp from My Minds' Eye, Copics, self adhesive pearls (Michaels), ribbon (Michaels), Bazzill cardstock.

Pretty Poppy

Sally-Ann has an adorable new character in her DigiStamp Boutique - Poppy. I couldn't wait to make a card with one of the new Poppy images! This birthday Poppy was just perfect for this fun sketch from the Friday Sketchers challenge blog.

Happy Anniversary, TCP!

The Cats' Pajamas is celebrating their 100th TCP Tuesday with a blog hop and challenges. The first challenge was a sketch challenge from the talented Leigh. Here was my take on the sketch:

I was lucky enough to win this set - "You Sick Thing" - in a previous TCP blog hop. It was appropriate because that's how I've felt the past few days! I was out sick from Monday & Tuesday and finally went back to work today. I'm still not over this bug so I hope it clears out of my system soon.

The printed papers are from My Mind's Eye "Bloom & Grow" collection. I really like buying & using coordinating papers on my cards. It makes it so much easier when a designer has done all the matching up work for me! I don't normally paper piece much on my cards, but I had fun dressing up this little scene. :)

Ippity Wednesday

This week's Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge is brought to you by {Ippity} Stamps. Ippity is a new company that is an offshoot of Unity Stamp Company. Visit their blog to learn more about this exciting new company.

Here's this week's sketch:

Our former SSW DT member, Kelly, is now an Ippity rep and sent us each some stamps to work with. Here's the card I came up with using the stamps she sent me.

Be sure to stop by the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog to see the great cards from the other DT members. You could win one Ippity stamp set of your choice from Kelly!

Fab Friday - Alice in Wonderland Style

Do you remember the line in the original Disney version of Alice in Wonderland - ""I'm late, I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date!" Well, that would be pretty much the story of my life! lol. I was so busy Friday night getting ready for a crafters' garage sale the next morning that I totally forgot about Fab Friday. Oops!

I have two awesome stamped jewelry tutorials to share with you, both featuring stamp sets from The Angel Company (TAC).

Here's one that also gives a tutorial on using odorless mineral spirits with Prismacolor pencils:
Butterfly necklace

Here's another one that features this month Stamp of the Month, "Snail Mail", as well as the special, limited edition "S is for She" stamp set:
She Adds Beauty necklace

I have box of microscope slides that I bought years ago and bought some hinged frames at Michael's yesterday. I'm going to try my hand at making a necklace or two. They look like a lot of fun to make & would make a great Mothers' Day gift.

Have a great week!

Welcome Spring!

Ahhhh! I think that soon I won't have to warm up my car or scrape the windshield. I am so ready for spring and warmer weather! It seems so many people have been hit with an unusual amount of snow and/or cold temps this winter. Spring here we come!

What better way to celebrate spring than with this new release from Sally-Ann of DigiStamp Boutique. Here our friend Coco is having some fun with his Easter friends.

Be sure to check out the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog later this month. We'll be hosting a blog hop in conjunction with the DigiStamp Boutique. I suspect Coco might be carrying a few blog hop prizes in that basket!
